Jason Blake, Warr guitarist for the instrumental progressive metal trio, Aziola Cry (Sensory Records), is set to release his most ambitious progressive statement to date. Subsequent Ruins features the Warr guitar as the sole melodic instrument along with accompaniment by drummer Marco Minnemann. The songs serve as a retelling of The Pied Piper in modern times where screen time and social media play the title role.
The six song album was mixed in Chicago at Gravel Road Recording by Amery Schmeisser and mastered by Andy Vendette (Rush, Porcupine Tree). Hajo Müller (Steven Wilson, Mariusz Duda) provided the thought provoking artwork for the release.
